Drawing requires...

When I first started to draw, I didn't realize how many things we are able to use to create a well balanced drawing. I thought it was just going to be a pencil and paper. There is a whole list of things that you can use, such as:
>sketching pencils
>pens
>paper
>markers
>pastels
> charcoal/graphite
>water colors
>colored pencils
> erasers
and so much more. I got a headache from looking at all the stuff at Micheal's Craft Store. In that store I can go crazy, that Hobby Lobby and Asels. Its like a candy store for crafters.

My personal favorite is pastels and charcoal. Pastels can be a little hard to work with because of their oily texture, therefore some people say that its hard to get the right texture of color you want on your drawing. With time it become easier, trust me.
Charcoal is messy. I love to get messy, and somehow I always; Always happen to wear the wrong shirts when I'm using charcoal. It breaks easily so be careful when you use it, you don't want to hold it like a pencil. Turn it horizontally in your hand and use it that way.
One more thing, drawing requires lots and lots of practice.
