Have you ever been amazed about something you learned about yourself? Or find out that you could do something that you thought weren’t able to do?
I definitely was amazed that I could draw something without looking and it look recognizable, it was amazing. The feeling of having you mind take control of your hands without watching what they were creating. I had this incredible experience in my Drawing I class, my professor express to us, as a class, that people these days are paying too much attention how they draw, and not spending time looking at the object or person they are drawing.
The activity consisted of two people as a group; one person would model for the other while they were drawing blind; Blind meaning watching only your model rather than your paper. Another thing that he made sure we didn’t do was to pick up the pencil. Making the drawing a one-line drawing too. To make sure that we weren’t cheating the professor explained to us that we needed a sheet of paper over the sketch that we were creating. On the first try for each group went horribly because the instructions were still fussy.
Once we got the main idea of the instructions, everybody let their creative self out. Some of the artworks looked like Picasso. It was very interesting seeing all the different images.
This is one project that you as a reader should try but try something simple, like an apple. Good luck and have fun.
